1、PERC battery is the current mainstream battery technology. The cost is the lowest, the power of the corresponding component is also relatively lowest, and there is LID/PID/LETID attenuation, and the power generation capacity is weak in the later stage. After continuous cost reduction and efficiency increase, it has developed to close to the theoretical limit, and there is little room for cost reduction and efficiency increase at present, and there is no longer any prospect, and it will be gradually replaced.
2、TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is an upgrade technology of PERC. TOPCon's tunneling oxide passivation contact structure can realize one-dimensional longitudinal carrier transport, while reducing the composite of metal and silicon substrate, taking into account the open circuit voltage and filling factor, which can effectively improve the conversion efficiency of the battery. Its components have the characteristics of high double-sided rate and low attenuation, and the comprehensive power generation is stronger. In terms of process, TOPCon battery production line can be mostly compatible with existing PERC/PERT production equipment, adding LPCVD, B expansion and coating cleaning equipment to complete the production line upgrade, and the upgrade investment is small.
3、HJT (junction with Intrinsically Thin layer) technology is most likely to become the next mainstream technology. HJT battery has high conversion efficiency, and does not need high temperature furnace control, which can reduce production energy consumption and shorten preparation time. It has the advantages of power generation after both sides are illuminated, low temperature manufacturing process to protect carrier life, high open circuit voltage, and good temperature characteristics, and the current development resistance is high cost. With the cost reduction of equipment localization, silicon wafer thinning, and low temperature silver paste consumption, HIT batteries will become the next generation of mainstream photovoltaic cell technology in the future. HJT is not compatible with the existing production line, the investment of a single GW reaches hundreds of millions of yuan, and the new technology route will bring greater equipment demand.
According to the calculation of ISFH, the theoretical limit efficiency of PERC, HJT and TOPCon batteries is 24.5% and 27.5%28.7% respectively, of which TOPCon is very close to the limit efficiency of single-junction battery 29.43%.
